The First Years Babypro All In One Baby Food Maker

Sunday Product Review for Nannies and Au Pairs

Last week we highly recommended the Beaba Babycook Baby Food Maker.

This week we review the The First Years Babypro All In One Baby Food Maker. Similar to the Beaba Baby Food Maker, this also steams and grinds baby food. It's easily cleaned in the dishwasher and is BPA free. But it's cheaper than the Beaba Baby Food Maker.

The First Years babyPro All In One Steamer and Food Processor is both a steamer and a food processor, providing everything you need to make nutritious homemade baby food in minutes.

It's simple to use and easy to clean, and the compact two-in-one design occupies limited counter space. Quickly steams fruits, vegetables, and even meat, then purees food to the consistency that's right for the child. Food containers easily disassemble to clean in the dishwasher.

Have you used The First Years Babypro All in One Baby Food Maker? What's your opinion of this product?

  1. This product isn't good when making small batches. It's more work to keep scraping down the sides with a spatula if you are making a small batch. For older baby or bigger portions it works fine.

  2. I think it does a great job at making small batches of food. It purees the food really well. I was a little confused in the beginning where to add the water (in the hotplate itself) otherwise great product and I would recommnend it to anyone making their own babyfood.

  3. I think it's a good machine. I'm not sure about the more expensive brand others rave about (Beaba) but I really like this machine. A lot easier than doing it the old fashioned way of steaming in a pot then pulling out a hand food grinder or huge food processor. I like it.

  4. I agree that it's easier than using pots and pans and veggie steamer than switch to a cuisanart to make baby food. But, at first the directions were hard to follow I had trouble figuring out where the water goes too. Also, be careful the blades are very sharp.

  5. The product does deliver in that it significantly reduces dishes and clean up. I think a food processor gives better puree results.

  6. I prefer steaming the vegetables and fruits in a large pot with a large steamer and then using the cuisinart.

The problem I find with these little all in one gadgets is they are too small. I understand why others love them for less dishes, but once the baby is 7 months old or so you have to keep refilling these small appliances and takes too much time when you have to make more food.

For the first few weeks introducing foods to a baby the all in ones are ok. But they are way too small once a baby is 7 months old IMO. I tire of only fitting a little bit of food in this small appliance then having to scrape down the sides constantly. Very time consuming when have to prepare larger amounts of foods.
