Book Reviews by Kids for Kids

The Magic School Bus Inside the Human Body by Joanna Cole
Review by Taylor, 8-years-old

The Magic School Bus Inside the Human Bodyis one book in a series of Magic School Bus books by Joanna Cole. The Magic School Bus Collectionis also a television show on TV that is really good. I like these books because the magic school bus takes the kids on adventures. The adventures teaches the kids, which is more fun than learning in a classroom.

The characters in the book are Ralphie, Dorothy Anne, Ms. Frizzle, Liz and Carlos. In the beginning Ralphie got sick. Then, Ms. Frizzle's class got on the magic school bus. The magic school bus got very small and went into Ralphie's body.

Inside Ralphie's body they saw what happens to food when you eat it. They also saw the bacteria that was making Ralphie sick. They saw the white blood cells fight the sickness in Ralphie's body. Then, Ralphie sneezed them out and went back to school and got ready to go home.

I enjoyed this book because I like science and it showed how the body breaks down food. I liked when the class jumped on the blood cells and it showed how the white blood cells attacked the bacteria. It is fun to read about stuff what goes on inside a body. My favorite part was when Ralphie sneezed them out. I like learning in the Magic School Bus books.

I recommend this book to people who like adventures, science and learning about the human body.
